MARCHing Into Spring!

We made it! We all survived the worst of the winter months. I am certain that we will see more snow, ice and freezing temperatures but when it is March, we know they won't last. Today I'm spending part of my day adding a few spring touches to my house. I'm continuing the colors from my new wreath inside the house. I changed the ribbon on my old keys and switched out the antique Valentine postcards to vintage Easter cards.

A pastel petal egg rests on a bed of moss in my chippy cloche.

My glass bunny held candy back in the 40's.

I love this soft pastel polka-dot ribbon.

The birds are starting to come out to play in my yard and in my house. This one adds a little bling to the vignette.

It is very bright in my house today (sunshine!) and I felt as if the sun sort of washed out my photos. Since I have a new camera, I decided to experiment with a different setting. The picture below is set to "Super Vivid" which actually does come closer to real color of the table and vignette, although the ribbon is a bit less "vivid" in person.

Thank you to all who offered advice on what camera to buy. I opted to get the Canon Powershot SX130 IS. It was a bit less camera than I really wanted, but when I looked at the ones that I thought I was going to buy, they were simply too large for me. I need to be able to carry my camera in my purse or pocket and so I gave up a few features to be able to do that. What I didn't give up was the ability to play with color in my photos. I love being able to do this...

I am joining Marty @ A Stroll Thru Life for Table Top Tuesday.
Make sure you stop in to thank her for being our hostess!

Good Morning Sue Sweetie..
What a beautiful vignette on your tabletop. I love the use of your silver platter along with the cloche, cards and the beautiful bird nest. The topiaries look so beautiful with the soft lilac polka dotted ribbons tied around their bases. You truly do have such decorating style. If I could just spend one day picking your brain.

I love your table setting as well. How beautiful. From the gorgeous table runner, and place settings to the tulips for fragrance. Just breathtaking Sue. Breathtaking.

Thank you for sharing with me this morning. I so love it when you do. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

Great photos, Sue. You did those shots like that by settings on the camera or in a photo enhancing site? I didn't know you could do that while taking pictures. Cool.

Beautiful Vignettes. Love all the sweet Easter goodies, and THE TULIPS TOO. They were my grandmothers fav. along with her roses, so I always think of her when I see them both. Hugs to you. Hope all is well. winks-jen

Hi Sue, I love how you have brought spring into your home! I have to tell you, I did buy the larger Canon, non returnable, and I'm having buyer's remorse. I hope that helps you feel like you made the right choice. The camera's huge, and difficult to figure out. I'm still using my Powershot more than the big one!
I love your banner photo too. Happy almost spring!!
