Summer's Last Bloom

A dear friend recently found out that her camera had a macro setting. She may never be the same! She sent me some of her photos yesterday and I thought I would surprise her by having her be my "guest blogger" today. Cathy...this one is for you!

I am linking today with The Tablescaper for my first Seasonal Sunday.
Please take a moment to visit her.

Today is the last day to sign up for my GIVEAWAY!

Oh, how I love morning glories...they were growing up the back porch when we bought the house we live in...that was one of the reasons I was so willing to buy this one!

Great shots of the caterpillars! What are the pink berries? They would be great in a floral arrangement.

What a surprise it was!! The morning glories are gorgeous this year. I only wish they were in my yard, and not in my neighbor Becky's. Yesterday Becky called me to come see her pretty sunflowers being visited by some delightful caterpillars. I asked her if I could bring my camera, and this is what you get! Thanks!!!!

Yes, Xinex, the first and eighth pictures are volunteer morning glories growing on a "Hanoke Cypress" shrub. They are really beautiful right now! And, Mimi, the berries are on a shrub called a "Beauty Berry." They are actually a little more purple-y than the pictures shows. The birds love to eat the berries! Cathy, you did a great job shooting these pictures!

Cahty, thanks for your lovely guest blog. How fun to find a feature on your camera you actually know what to do something with.

I still have about 11/12th's of the buttons on my camera unexplored. I thought they might just be there for looks. Perhaps not.

Such lovely flowers and a great tribute to summer. While I'm not sad to see the heat and humidity go, I'm not ready to brace myself for winter quite yet.
