Inhale

Last night I saw a shooting star
Fall from the sky, on a perfect night
Filled with wood smoke and crisp air
A hint of coming winter on the breeze

God surprises us in many ways
A rainbow, when there is no rain
Brilliant sunsets at the end of a busy day
The tiny fingers of a new born babe

It is easy to forget the simple things
Our lives a sea of stress
An endless road of twists and turns
They tell us to “smell the roses” but who has time?

And yet, one instant of awareness
Can lift the pain of a troubled day
Offer hope of better times to come
Discover your moment and simply breathe…

Nice post, great shots! With one exception, not so fond of the cucumber beetle in the last pic, those little buggers killed off my zukes way too early this year:@)

Hi Sue,
thanks for stopping by tonight, good to hear from you hon. Lovely pics and lovely thoughts as well and so true. We really do have to slow down and smell the roses at times, or we get lost in craziness of this world.
Hope you had or are having a wonderful visit with your Dad. Mine has been gone for 16 yrs. now. I miss him the very most on my birthday, he was always the first person to call me to wish me Happy Birthday very early in the morning. So sweet!
Have a good rest of the week hon,
Blessings, Nellie

Hey you. I was stopping by to ask you "in person" if you would like to join my blog swap. I think it might be something you'd really enjoy. Of course I absolutely understand if you don't want to. Still... I'd be delighted to have you. Happy Friday! It's almost here. Oh, I forgot to say that sign up ends tomorrow night.

Lovely images to go with the heartfelt sentiments - all too true.
I see, perhaps, one shooting star a summer, and it never fails to thrill.
