A Little Food From Florida...Foodie Friday

Before I get to my Foodie Friday post, I want to mention that I have once again been contacted by CSN Stores to work with them on a few projects. I think all bloggers know by now that CSN consists of over 200 online stores, selling everything from kids backpacks to upscale furniture. I have been very happy with the items I've gotten from CSN and I'm so thrilled to be doing a review for them soon, as well as doing a very nice GIVEAWAY before the holidays. Stay tuned!

A trip to Florida always includes a visit to Orlando to see our daughter. When you work for Disney as she does, it is much easier for us to visit her than for her to get home. This trip we spent 3 nights in Orlando. We really don't spend much time in the theme parks these days, but we always try to get to Epcot for the Food and Wine Festival. If you love food, you really should try to attend this fun festival. This year, Epcot was celebrating the 15th year of this event.

Chef Art Smith hosting a seminar.

Chicken Souvlaki with Tzatziki-Greece
This was new this year and my favorite non-sweet item.

Greek Salad with Pita Bread-Greece

Warm Chocolate Lava Cake with Baileys Irish Cream Ganache-Ireland

My husband's favorite...Kerrygold Cheese Selection-Ireland

Crème Brulee au Chocolat au Lait-France
This is always my favorite sweet...lucky for me,
they keep bringing it back every year.

Shrimp Cake with Sinapore Noodle Salad-Singapore (not our favorite)

Tamal de Pollo-Mexico

New England Lobster Roll-United States
I've waited 4 years to try this one.
It costs twice as much as everything else
and I really couldn't find the lobster in it.
What you see are lots of red peppers and onions.
This one was a disappointment.

There is a new shop in Epcot's Germany.
It is everything Werthers.
The above is a caramel-pecan bar,
they have cupcakes, caramel corn,
 chocolate and caramel dipped strawberries.
They prepare the food as you watch
and the smell is unbelievable.

I am joining Michael @ Designs by Gollum for Foodie Friday.
The home of all things yummy. Please take time to visit her today!

Regardless of all those fabulous foodie shots, it must be fun having a daughter that works for Disney.

Mediterranian food is considered very healthy.
The greek tzatziki- a refreshing youghort and cucumber dip, and the souvlaki- pieces of chicken grilled with veggies - are a good example of that kind of food.

I'm not very fond of the greek pita bread (not airy enough to my taste) and the salad whose veggies are coarsely chopped ( I like mine with little, thin pieces of veggies).

Love your header. And AND as far as this post goes it is wetting my appetite for dinner tonight! Man that all looks good. I can usually have the creme brulee (usually they are gluten free), but I have never seen one with chocolate!
Man that greek salad looks so good, and the irish cheese and well, just everything. It must be marvelous. Too bad about the lobster thing!

You nearly did me in with the caramel. Oooh that looks so delicious. It's one of my favorite flavors.

I've been to the Flower Festival at Epcot, but never the Food and Wine Festival. I find this to be much better for my waistline, but I still get plenty of eye candy!

I have NEVER had lobster roll with peppers in it! That would ruin the delicate flavor of the lobster!
I meant to tell you I bought my new frig on line, and linked through mrrebates .com first. Saved me a lot of money. I actually bought it from Home Depot, and I couldn't have been more pleased. Saved over a thous dollars on the frig!

Ooh, lotsof yummies here. Sorry the lobster roll was so disappointing- I would have been bummed too.

That caramel nut bar looks killer!
