Disney's Beach Club Resort-Christmas Day

Christmas is over, but I have a few pictures that I want to share with you before moving on to other things. Besides, if you want to plan for a Disney Christmas next year, now is the time to start planning. Christmas Day is anything but traditional for us. My daughter works for Disney and the holidays are so busy that it will be years before she gets Christmas off. It is nice that the managers all work short shifts on holidays, so that everyone can enjoy time with friends or family. My daughter worked from 6:00 am until 11:00 am, then we opened gifts and headed over to the Disney Beach Club Resort for dinner. The centerpiece above was in the lobby and I really wanted it to come home with me. One thing about Disney, they certainly know how to decorate for the holidays!

Gingerbread Carousel

The hotels all serve cookies and
cider on Christmas Eve and Christmas.

We had a wonderful seafood (and everything else)
buffet at the Cape May Cafe.

How often do you see geraniums and
poinsettias planted next to each other?

We took a stroll over to the Yacht Club Resort
which was equally decked out for the holiday.

We had a wonderful day. Food, family,
friends and beautiful things to see.

Hi Sue,
Thanks for sharing these wonderful pics. Nobody does it like Disney that is for sure. We have gone to many of the Disney hotels over the years just to see the decorations, cause they are always spectacular. We need to go next year, cause it has been awhile. Know how you like the beachy decor and that floral would have been wonderful. I too, always enjoy all the outdoor flowers as well as the wonderfully abundant indoor floral arrangements, sometimes they just take your breathe away.

I also went back to see the lights at Disney in your other post. Gorgeous as always, we have been there just days before Christmas a few times over the last 30 years and our fav thing it the midday parade. Just wonderful,
as well, as the decorations of course.....
There is just something about Disney....course, guess it is that Disney magic that Walt Disney always wanted and inspired.............

Hope you are doing well. I ordered some of that mud mask and some exfoliating soap, but haven't rec'd it yet. Once she sends me an email saying it has shipped, cause I ordered it online cause they had a big sale, I want to send her an email and let her know you referred me to her.
Thanks, told my daughter about it too, but don't know if she decided to try it or not.

Take care hon,
Blessings, Nellie

It looks beautiful! I haven't been to Disney in so long!
I couldn't take the crowds though. I never thought that many people would be there Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
We always went in Feb when I was off from teaching and it was so crowded that week.
Happy 2012, Sue!

Lovely photos! I'm in awe of the gingerbread carousel...my gingerbread cookie making adventure with the nephews and niece on Christmas Eve pales in comparison! :)

Hi Sue,
Boy that was a fun tour indeed! I was there once over Christmas and it was so fun to see the decorations but the crowds were unreal!
Still though I loved it!
Thanks for coming by and entering my give-away! And your so right, priorities do change in our lives.
Have a great week,
Cindy
