A Five Minute Tablescape...Think Spring!

I don't know about you, but I am very tired of Christmas colors and clutter this week. So, when I thought about setting my table yesterday...I wanted to do something quick, clean and simple. I also wanted the table to perk me up during these cold, post-holiday days. This could easily be a tutorial for those of you that are new to tablescaping. You can set a pretty table in a matter of minutes, without having a lot of "fancy" things on the table. This table came together in about 5 minutes and it really was a perfect way to boost the winter "blahs"! (I do see the spoon shifted in the picture...blooper)

I started with simple cream placemats and napkins. My white American Atelier Bianca Leaf dinner plate serves as a charger for new dinner plates found at Ross a few months ago. They were on sale for $7 for all 4. They are only labeled Fine China. I loved the colors and I wish I could find additional pieces. I bought the flatware at Ross the same day...also a bargain.

Thrift shop pink stemware worked perfectly with this china. I draped a sparkly scarf across the table to add a bit of color. The large aqua mercury glass votives were a recent purchase at Z Gallerie. I love the color and I will be able to use them in my home all year long.

A simple centerpiece of pink blossoms in a silver bowl with a pair of crystal candlesticks finishes the look.

At night, the aqua mercury glass is beautiful.

I love to theme my tables for the season, but sometimes it is really nice to do the unexpected. Adding a touch of springtime florals to your home can really be uplifting during the dark days of winter!

Such a beautiful table. It would almost be a shame to add food to the plates.

I am in love with those floral dishes, Sue. They really are pretty, and I love the flatware you found to go with them. Don't you love Ross? I keep hoping to find some more of my dark bamboo flatware there, but so far, no luck. They just have the best deals.

I'm not tired of Christmas because I never had it! lol! I keep threatening to decorate for it.

XO,

Sheila :-)

Hi Sue!
My tulip dishes were peeking out at me early this morning when I put away dishes from the dishwasher... I thought the same thing!

The color of the flowers really pop under candlelight.

A beautiful table, Sue!

Have a sunny weekend! {We're getting snow- maybe the tulips will come out early at my house too!}

Hi Sue Sweetie...
Oh what a beautiful share today. I love, love these plates. They are SO gorgeous. Let me tell you when I go to my Two Ross stores, I will be looking for additional of these for you. If I find them you can bet you will hear about it. They are truly elegant. If you put this table together in 5 minutes, I can't imagine what you could do with an hour. My gosh it is SO beautiful, just breath taking. I love it, and thank you for sharing.

I love, Love, LOVE the castle. I am SO thrilled you stopped, because then I got to see too. What a beautiful share this evening.
I could hear the bag pipes as soon as I opened your blog. I would have grabbed my camera and ran as well.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend sweetie. Many hugs and SO much love, Sherry
