Update from Florida

Just stopping by with a quick update. My mom has gotten better daily and while she is still very weak, she has made remarkable progress all things considered. It looks as if she will be going to a rehab facility for a week or two to get her strength back. At this point, they have her walking but it isn't something she can do alone and she can't go very far yet. I doubt anyone could who had been flat on their back for a month and had major surgery a week ago. Once she has her strength back she can tackle the other medical issues from home. I'm going to be staying down here for a while. My dad could use the company and it seems to make my mom feel a little better. I think we will get into more of a routine once she is out of the hospital. The rehab center has an internet cafe! If I can just find enough energy to stay awake...I may even get back to blogging. I really miss Blogland and all of you. Thanks again for all of the prayers, good thoughts and messages. It truly has been such a blessing to me.

Hi Sue,
I'm off to school, but before I go...
I read your update late last night and thought, Sue would be doing a tablescape today...
But indeed you are~
Your mother is guest of honor...
Your centerpiece is "A Daughter's Love"
and cannot be seen, only felt in the heart~ since it is filled with the rewards of giving.
There is a special glow to this tablescape- it is one of your best!

Take care, Sue ~ God Bless you!

Thanks for stopping by Sue and letting me know how you are doing. I know this is a tough time right now but staying with your mom and dad is the best thing you can do. Your situation is bringing back memories for me. Cherish each day! I remember hanging out in the hospital with my mom~ we brought board games on good days we would play and I would forget that we were actually in the hospital room. I will continue to pray.

Glad about your update. I suppose after the rehab period, your Mom might need some help at home until she feela she's capable of taking care of herself. Anyway, you're a great daughter! May God bless you all and help you overcome this tough period!

HI Sue
Well I'm certain your mum feels better having you there... her baby....to comfort and support both her and your dad... with you there she probably worries less about your dad and can focus on getting herself well... She's doing remarkably well which is a testament to her willpower and strength... I hope each day sees her stronger, healthier and happier...

i hope you and your dad get a chance for that much needed sleep and to take a bit of fresh air and look after yourselves as well... wishing you the best this Easter... xxx Julie
