This and That

We survived our garage sale. It certainly wasn't one of my most successful, but we did get rid of some things and that was most important. We have an area wide sale coming in a couple of weeks and since things are already priced, I think we may just pull them out on the driveway that morning before packing things up and heading to Goodwill. I'm just glad it is over and I had garage sale "let down" when we were done. I had a hard time forcing myself off the couch the rest of the weekend. However, our yearly block party was Saturday night and it is hard to pass up a live band just a few houses away! It was cold enough here that I had to dig out the a sweater, a jacket and boots. By the time we came home, I was ready for gloves! It is supposed to be in the 80's later this week, don't you love this time of year?

I was contacted last week by two different sources wanting me to do sponsored giveaways. I don't always say yes, but both of these are fun and things I would like to win. They aren't huge prizes, but one of them you can eat! I'm all about winning yummy things to eat! So stay tuned!

I'll leave you with a bit of the nature around me this weekend.

Sue, what gorgeous shots. That is one huge spider web. I would not want to run into that spider. Look you already have Halloween decorations done for you.

Oh, boy...something to win to eat. I love that!:)
I also was asked to sponsor a giveaway and it is a fun one. Sounds like this week is going to be a good one in Blogland.

Glad you sold things you wanted to get rid
of. I like GOING to garage sale and hate HAVING them like the plague. Lots of work.

xoxo bj

Sorry you were disappointed with the sale. I guess our economy has long reaching effects, even for this. That is some spider web, how huge is that spider I wonder. xo,

Sorry you did not do as well as you had hoped. I use to have pretty good luck with yard sales, but the last 2 I participated in were let downs.
Would not want to meet the spider that built that web. :D

Can you believe I have never had a garage sale. Well, once when I was growing up my friend and I cleaned out my parent's attic -- I guess that migh count. I usually just take it to the thrift store. Joni

What a gorgeous sunset! I have to admit that although I love pretend spiders, that web is just too huge and scary and I have goosebumps all over me just looking at it.

Love the photos! The spider web is definitely an interesting one :) Sorry the garage sale wasn't as successful as you would have hoped. If it makes you feel any better, my one and only garage sale attempt was as a teenager. It was for charity and still turned out to be a huge letdown. Clearly, I'm still traumatized. ;)

You have a good eye. I particularly enjoyed the first picture of the sun over the field.
