Name That Rose-Commenting Issues-Weather

Yesterday I read many of your blogs but I was unable to log in to comment. I would select "Google account" and it would ask for my information and send me right back to do it again. It was really frustrating and I have no idea if it will be any better today. Is anyone else having issues? Any suggestions?

I notice that many of you seem to know the names of your roses...I don't. Maybe I could just make up some names, you'd never really know...would you? How about "Peach Fuzz" for the above blossoms?

Lipstick?

Lemon Bar?

Look closely and you will see my "Cotton Candy" rose bush has hundreds of buds!

I took these last pictures just a few minutes ago from my backyard. So far, we just have a tornado watch. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit nervous after all watching all the storm coverage this week. Stay safe out there!

Only a couple more days to register to win my Boos Cutting Board!

I had the same issues with comments yesterday...not sure what was up with it:( Sorry...I'm not good with names of roses, but they are all beautiful! Stay safe in all this awful weather...I'm praying that it will stop soon.

Blessings,
Linda

I think these names are great! I certainly couldn't tell if someone made up their own flower name. And yes, I had commenting problems yesterday and still going on today. To post here, I had to type in my name and URL, but no avatar comes up. Blogger seems to be blissfully unaware of this glitch. xo,

Beautiful roses! The weather has been beyond crazy everywhere but quite strange for here in the midwest.

Your roses are beautiful - thanks for sharing them with us. They have us in a high risk for severe weather this afternoon and tonight. :(

I checked on that comment issue for you and this is what I found:

We're investigating an issue which is preventing login and comment posting for some users, and hope to have a fix released shortly.

Thanks for your patience in the meantime. — LATEST UPDATE ON TUESDAY, MAY 24, 2011

When something weird is happening with my blog, I always check here first to see if it's just me or if it's a Blogger issue: http://knownissues.blogspot.com/

As for your roses, I like the names you chose, much more fun than the correct ones, lol.

Please be safe, these tornadoes scare the heck out of me. I'd be on a plane until after tornado season. At least with our hurricanes we can track them for days. They do sometimes make unexpected turns, but we still have more warning than tornados give. Not that we don't get tornados, but nothing like the ones we're hearing about on the news lately. Again, please stay safe!

My heart goes out to all those who have already been affected.

Hugs

I would love to win this for my daughter's first apartment. She is getting ready to move and this would be fantastic! You are so generous. Thank you.
I've been watching the devastating weather throughout the midwest. It is just heartbreaking. I hope you and your family are spared.

Morning Sue,
All your flower shots are gorgeous. Just love flowers!!
Thanks so much for dropping by yesterday and all your sweet comments about the wedding.

Finally got ahold of the wedding coordinator,
so have a lot more info now, so that has helped a whole lot! So I can relax some now.
Shew!! lol Not that she does all that much,
but at least I know what she does do, and more about how things go and stuff, and have a place to go with questions.

Hope all is well at your house. We are feeling so badly for all those in the path of all these tornadoes. Terrible! I am sure it is more than a bit disconcerting.....we know....we live in Florida, good ol hurricanes, I really don't look forward to June 1st, as it is the beginning of hurricane season!! I have never liked it, but never was all that concerned about it, I would just get out and get my hurricane supplies and that was about it, but after going thru 3 hurricanes every 2 weeks, in one year, about 6-7 years ago, and getting hit pretty good......
I really don't look forward to it at all!! and
feel like celebrating the end of November when it is over!! lol

We were safe but it was pretty harrowing, we heard nothing but crack, boom, crack boom for a solid half hour, and thought surely a pinetree was going to come thru out roof at any moment. We had 7 trees on our house, most were smaller but we did have 2 very large ones, but no holes in our roof, miraculous or what!!
and our backyard looked like someone set off a bomb, because a tornado touched down right next to us on a wooded lot of pinetrees and it tore all the tops off and threw them in our backyard. What a mess, but if that tornado had touched down just 50-100 ft. more our way....we might not be here!! So perspective is a great thing!! lol

You take care hon,
Blessings, Nellie

Good Morning Sue Sweetie...
What a beautiful share this morning. Don't feel bad sweetie, I too, do not know the names of my roses. I like your idea of just giving them names ourselves, isn't that what people do when they adopt anyway? I will have to add my list of names when I do that as well. I love Lipstick. Stole my heart. So beautiful and bright, and definitely you sweet one.

I too was having the same problem. I finally went to one of my friends blogs, then up at the top where the sign in is located? I signed in and was able to move forward. It was quite frustrating for some time.

I am home with bronchitis for a couple of days. Been coughing so loud it is quite disturbing for others around me. I will be back to work tomorrow. I went to the cupboard and couldn't find one can of soup. I was so disappointed. I am off to make me a grilled cheese. I thought that might hit the spot.

Hope you are well sweetie and enjoying your time spent with your sweet Daddy. Many hugs and so much love, Sherry

I had a problem with commenting once yesterday, exactly as you had. I didn't realize everyone was having problems until later. So far, so good today.

Your pictures of the sky are ominous. I would have been in the basement! I have always lived in fear of tornados growing up where it is now the western suburbs of Chicago. We had many pass through and some touchdowns. As you get closer to the lake, it is less likely for a touchdown, or so I hope. Stay safe, the season isn't over yet.

XO,
Jane

Sue, I love the names you have given your roses. We have had yucky weather and been under tornado watches for far too long...looks like a couple more days of storms in the forecast, then we should be getting some sun...so much can happen in those short days, though. Stay safe.

What beautiful roses. I don't have enough sunny areas in my beds for roses.

OOO, I hope it is just a watch and not a warning. After seeing what those killer tornadoes did to those houses, NO where is safe but below ground. I think not having an underground place to flee to caused such a high death rate in Joplin. I always thought our inside, walk in closet would be the place but, if we have time, we will go across the street to a storm shelter. Keep watching...even when they say all clear. They have been known to be wrong. Tornadoes just scare the h** out of me.

Now, your flowers are just beautiful.
I am pretty green with envy right now 'cause I don't have one single bloom on anything but my Knockout roses. :(

Stay safe..hope the storm passes you by.

I had the same issue with sending comments through Google account.

So, I select profile Name/Url instead,to send comments. Only one of the blogs I tried to send a comment to, doesn't have this choice in the selection.

We can also change the place of the comment; instead of embedded under the post, select a pop up window (Go to Settings - Comments - select Pop up - Save).

Hope Blogger will soon fix the problem.

Same problem. It's been 3 days since I can comment using my google account. I've tried everything. Now I'm just commenting using the Name/URL option. Of course some of the blogs I read are hosted by another site & don't have option. I was on vacation last week so I'm trying to catch up on all the posts I missed & this commenting thing is really frustrating!

Your roses are beautiful!! I know nothing about them but they're gorgeous!!
