Flowers, Treehouses and A Treat!

You may have noticed that I'm having a hard time keeping up with blogging the past week or so. My daughter was here for 9 days and we put her on a plane back to Orlando yesterday. By the time we got home from Indianapolis, she was already back in Florida and my dad had arrived (driving) from Sarasota. He will be here a month, spending time at my house and my sister's. I have taken lots of pictures and have several things to share with you all, I'm just having a bit of trouble finding the time to do so. Hopefully, I will gradually get caught up.

First I want to show you the wonderful treat that arrived in the mail yesterday. I won this beautiful bag from a joint giveaway. Brooke @ Mountain Mama gave away this bag made by Linda @ linsueray. I've been seeing Linda's bags on her posts for a long time and I have always thought they were beautiful. I had no idea just how wonderful they were until mine arrived. She sells them in her etsy store (linked from her blog) for $25-$35 and they are worth every penny. They are beautifully made, wonderful details...just look at the interior of the bag, all the pockets to hold phones, glasses etc. If you need a great gift for someone, check out Linda's etsy shop. Thank you Brooke & Linda!

On Friday, we took a road trip to St. Louis. We did several things while we were there, the first being a visit to  MOBOT (The Missouri Botanical Garden). Currently, they have an exhibit called TREEmendous. There were some very unique (ground level) tree houses all over the gardens. I took a few pictures just to give you an idea of what some of them look like. MOBOT is truly beautiful any time of the year. There is always something new to see and we love our visits there. If you live anywhere near St. Louis, I highly recommend you make time to visit. I'm going to let the pictures speak for themselves.

Enjoyed visiting your botanical gardens. There is one in Boothbay, Maine, that is one of my very favorite places to go in the summer. Enjoying time with your family is a good reason to get behind on blogging!

Sue,
Congratulations for being the lucky winner of the beautiful bag!
It sure sounds like you enjoyed your visit with your daughter! I'm sure she enjoyed it as well! You have had your house full with your daughter, son, grandkids and now your father, between all your fun, I hope you have some time to take care of yourself!
Now that our house is sold, Wayne and I are back in the swing of things with gutting the new house! We are out of the old house by mid June and at this time may move in with my sister and her family! Your photos from your St Louis outing might be the only vacation I get this year!
By the way... How is your father-in -law?
