Spring Is In The Air-Tablescape Thursday

It is another Thursday in the Land of Blog which means it is time to get out some dishes and have some fun. This week I really wanted to set a table that would be cheerful and happy. I hope you think that I accomplished that.

As elegant as a formal table setting is, I really
have much more fun setting a whimsical table.

I started with a baby blue tablecloth from Macy's. The napkins and soup bowls I've had for many years. The large charger/dinner plates are from HomeGoods and I've used them in several tablescapes. The polka dot plates and flatware are both recent HomeGoods purchases. They had them in several colors.

How cute is this?

And this?

The vase is one of two given to my parents for a wedding
gift, almost 64 years ago. My sister has the other one.

I added a shabby wooden bird (Hobby Lobby-it was brown).

A simple porcelain rose.

Goblets (TJMaxx) with a hint of blue and green finish the look.

After lighting a few spring green votives, the table took on a glow.

Sue, that is just a fun tablesetting! I love the cuuuute silverware and the polka dot plates and the cute bowls. It just is so happy and fun. You and I are on the same wavelength as I did blue and white polka dots today. You better hide your silverware because I need it and am coming to get it! Joni

Oh, Sue... this is just adorable! I adore polka dots, and look at that cute flatware, too!

I did a blue setting, only I used navy and white stripes for a nautical look. But this bright blue is just TOO CUTE!

Happy Tablescape Thursday!

XO,

Sheila :-)

A fun & whimsical table setting it is! Such beautiful soft shades of blue...reminds me of the water in the Caribbean!

Each piece of the flatware is so different...how cool that they packaged it that way. Your polka-dot plates are really cute too.
A very happy table, I'd say!! :)

So pretty! I love the polka-dotted plates, but the mixed pattern flatware is darling! So fun -- and of course, no one can resist blue and white.

Gorgeous and fun setting. I fell in love with that flatware when I saw it at Home Goods. I had to tie my hands behind my back so I wouldn't buy it, but now I wish I had.

Sue,
The table cloth changed up the whole look of your table! It great how you can get two looks for the price of one!

How pretty and fun at the same time. Love the flatware. I almost picked up the red ones. But I had to be good and put them back. Trying to save money :(

Your flowers are lovely too.

I'm with you on fun and whimsical! Those polka dot plates are so cheerful, but that flatware is what stole my heart. What fun patterns. I long for a Home Goods to come to our area.
