It's Beginning to Sound a Lot Like Christmas...

Every year at this time, I try to make a music playlist of Christmas songs that are not "traditional" but touch my heart in some way. I have many Christmas CDs that I play often, but I love finding new or at least "new to me" holiday music. I thought I'd share my playlist for this year. I found all of the songs on iTunes. You can click on the ones that are highlighted to hear them. Enjoy.

The Heart of Christmas-Matthew West
Bring Christmas Home-Lee Greenwood
I Pray-Benjamin Utecht & Jim Brickman
Day After Christmas-Matthew West

Christmas Just Does This to Me-Matt Wertz
When Love Was Born-Mark Schultz
Christmas Eve-Benjamin Utecht
Christmas Spirit-Richard Marx

Give This Christmas Away-Matthew West & Amy Grant
When the Rain Turns to Snow-Lee Greenwood
The Blessings-Alabama

It Could Happen Again-Collin Raye
December Makes Me Feel This Way-Dave Koz
Christmas Eve With You-Glee Cast Version

A local station here started playing Christmas music around the clock last weekend. I have not even pulled out my holiday CD's yet. I need to check out some of those you listed - as have not heard of some of them before. Have heard some lately where the singer does not do Christmas songs very well. I did not even wait to hear who they were. :-D
Enjoy your evening.

My boys have discovered the holiday karaoke music on demand, so my house is filled with lots of holiday music already.

I think the country music people have the best Christmas music. They come up with some great original songs. I love the channel on TV that plays Christmas music. It drives my kids crazy but I have it on a lot!! ;-D

Happy Thanksgiving Sue!
I was just singing ♫ Let Heaven and Nature sing ♫ last night ~ Joy to the World!

I'm going to my sister's too... only need to bake pies and bring a veggie tray for beforehand. My father is staying with us, so I'll be cookin' here anyway all the other days :o) Thinking of his favorites ♥
Wishing you all the best and a very Happy Thanksgiving ~
Blessings always,
Maria

What a fun list! I'm not ready to start thinking about Christmas yet, but I'll definitely have to give these a listen in the next few weeks :)

G'morn, Sue ~ What a beautiful fireplace & ambiance for your room. Your song choices are wonderful, so puts the mood in the air.

I am getting better slowly. I preposted tons of shares because I didn't know how long it would take my eyes to both recup from the surgeries. To boot another Dr. gave me a medicine toxic to me & it thru me into a 5 hr. atrial fibrillation. Very serious ... sooooo, I am still running on slow & not getting around in bloggyville as I wish. TY for all your sweet notes & wishes, they mean a lot to me.

Happy Thanksgiving. May you have many joys & be showered with blessings.

TTFN ~
Hugs,
Marydon

Good Morning Sue Sweetie...
Started looking at the Christmas items and ofcourse thought of you. My wreath brings me such happiness, and I remember the day it came to me in the mail. Can't wait to start decorating again for the holidays. I am getting everything geared into one place and will start from there after Thanksgiving dinner.

Hope you are well sweet friend. I see that you got your fireplace. I love it. I have been looking at those and thought how pretty they truly are. Romantic as well. I understand they put off some nice heat as well. Living here in the valley, in our home of almost 20 years now, we have a big fireplace that we have lit, maybe 10 times in all the years we have lived here. It is just not cold enough for us to light it.

Have a beautiful holiday sweetie. Hugs, hugs and more hugs to you. Love, Sherry

How nice of you to do this Sue! I have been meaning to get over here like forever! Love your new fireplace below, that is a neat idea!
And if you ever decide to come to Mall of America you will have to stop at my house. Heck, I would love to go with you too!
Happy Thanksgiving with Hugs,
Cindy

Hi Sue,
Thanks for coming by and all your sweet comments, they were very appreciated, cause this Mom sure did everything she could do to make it as perfect as possible, and honestly think it was as perfect, this side of heaven, as it could be,
cause it was sure bathed in prayer by many.

They are so enjoying being married and are just such fun to see together, she is making a couple of dishes for Thanksgiving, she usually makes broccoli casserole for me, and this year she is making a new potato dish too, no doubt for Jerry, cause I am making a chicken dish that is adored by our family, but it is served with rice and sauce from the chicken, and he is not a rice eater!! lol

She was gonna make a peanut butter pie too,
but she is working tomorrow for part of the day, so I said No, I would do that, but she is so cute!!
Hope all is well at your house, and that you and your family and new pup have an absolutely wonderful
Thanksgiving hon. You are a blessing to me,
so I am thankful for you.
Love and Blessings, Nellie
