A few years ago we decided to take a drive north for a short vacation. More often than not, when on vacation we had pointed the car towards palm trees and the ocean. We fell in love with Michigan. It was beautiful, peaceful and we found ourselves going back often the past few years. It seems to be the place we go when life gets stressful and we need to regroup. We spent last week in Traverse City and exploring the areas near there. Over the next few weeks I'll share some of my pictures with you. The weather was a bit "wet and dreary" the first few days, but that didn't stop us! I'm joining Susan @ A Southern Daydreamer for Outdoor Wednesday. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

We have only visited Michigan once, 5 years ago. Ever since we have talked about going back. Absolutely love it!!
My BIL lives in Fife Lake which is very near Traverse City. I love the summers there cause it stays daylight til after 10PM!!!!! Traverse City is fun too. I just couldn't take the winters......too cold and too LONG!!!! XO, Pinky
The pictures are so beautiful, Sue. Now I have another place to put on my "bucket list", but in the summer. xo,
These photos are beautiful Sue, and what a wonderful place to relax and rewind.
I love the great outdoors in all kinds of weather and these photos are spectacular!
Thank you for your kind condolences on the passing of my cousin. Another followed just a week later and I'm just now starting to get back to some sense of normalcy.
Hugs. I've missed you!
Gorgeous! I have a friend who moved to Michigan and have always wanted to visit there. I live in PA so we're used too all the dreary weather and gray skies LOL
You know I need no convincing about how beautiful Michigan is, Sue. Your pictures are just beautiful...I think you captured it all!
XO,
Jane

What a lovely place. :D Thanks for sharing your photos with us.
Looks beautiful, sometimes wet can make fabulous photos. I grew up in Wisconsin, so we loved going to upper Michigan, it was so gorgeous. Your last photo of the wet plant is just fantastic. How fun.
How pretty, Sue. Wish I was going on a nice long vacation.
