I am sitting here fighting the urge to turn on the air-conditioner, it is too warm in my house...but, it is still technically winter! I love it! As we move from the high 70's into the 80's tomorrow, my husband plans to mow the grass tonight and I want to pull the patio furniture out of storage. Won't it be shocking if we get another big snow or ice storm.
One thing the nice weather has done is to kick me into cleaning and organizing. What started as a simple jewelry box project, turned into cleaning out all of my jewelry, my dresser and my closet. It ended with a trip to Goodwill, it also took 4 days! Yesterday I moved to the kitchen and I think I'll just keep it up while I'm in the mood. I know this energy level won't last long, so I have to make the most of it. I will say that I've discovered Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day products and they make my house smell so good that I almost don't mind cleaning!
We made a trip on Saturday to Arthur, IL in the heart of Amish country. We love to go to a little store there that carries Amish made food items of all kinds. They have the best supply of sanding sugar and decorations for very reasonable prices. When I got home, I decided they were just too pretty to put away. So, a quick trip to Dollar Tree for these cute little jars and I have a springy vignette on the kitchen counter.
The "cupcake" was actually a placecard holder from one of the little shops. I pulled out the wire holder and I perched it on a small silver compote.
I also wanted to share the vignette on the library table. I started with this beautiful print that was a gift from a wonderful blog friend, Kat @ Low Tide High Style. The lighting doesn't do it justice. If you haven't seen her artwork, make sure you visit her. She is a wonderful photographer. I have always loved this piece of hers and the soft seafoam color is perfect at my house. I had an orb the same color and it now sits under a cloche.
The coffee table has bits of spring and Easter.
I think most things look better under glass, don't you?

Enjoyed seeing your pretty Spring vignettes. The cupcake looks real. :D I need to get a spurt of energy - I have been dragging the last couple of days. Sounds like you are having the same weather we are.
What wonderful Spring vignettes! I love them all. I have been cleaning and sorting, too. It feels good, doesn't it? I use all Mrs.Meyer's products now. Do you use the lavender detergent for your sheets? I love that. My favorite scent though is the Lemon Verbana. It just smells so fresh and clean!
Keep it up and if you have any energy left you can come and find me. xo Diana
I love the idea of leaving out the decorating things! They are so pretty. It would be neat to have a whole rainbow of sanding sugars displayed in straight sided small jars!
What a happy post!
Oh I love all of your jars and cloches and you have them all displayed so beautifully. Love the vignette on the side table too, exquisite. Thanks so much for joining the party. Hugs, Marty
You have made some pretty spring vignettes in spite of this summery weather! It is 69 here and I don't have any summer clothes unpacked! Doing that will be a clear message for the snow to come! Keep up the good work organizing...I need to do my closet...it's like Oprah's with 5 different sizes in it! lol!
XO,
Jane
It is warm here, too, but that is really warm for you. Going to be in the 80's all week here. The average right now should be 64. It does put one in the mood to clean. Love your cute finds.
Sue,
You are more than ready for spring! It was warm today and Madison made fun of my short sleeve sweater I was wearing. Wayne said it will be warmed tomorrow... guess I'll have to leave out the sweater! If you get done there... please feel free to visit here to organize for me!

Your post just about got me in the mood to start spring cleaning.... Almost, but not quite. I am still waiting for winter to arrive. I know as soon as I give in and declare 'Spring Is Here" winter will jump up and bite me.
Lovely spring vignettes! I do think that we missed spring and summer has begun!

RJ
Everything looks really pretty..
I am ready to put up some of my throw rugs, deep reds, add more green plants and make things lighter for spring..
We, too, are having warmer days.
Wow, how impressive! Maybe you could send some of that spring cleaning energy my way :) I love the way the decorating candies look - the bright, fun colors are perfect for the new season.
yes, i agree about having another snow...it could happen and would be very weird.
your place looks great, very springy!
God bless~
Spring is popping out all over!
You know, I was on a roll with cleaning & organizing, donating and tossing. Then the allergies hit and I stopped. I need to get back to it! I love Mrs. Meyer's products ~ the lemon is my favorite I think. Which one do you like?
All of your spring treasures are very pretty. I love the items you bought at the Amish store. Would so love to visit the Amish country ~ amazingly, I never have.
Well, the 80's have been here all week with high humidity so the a/c is definitely on! It was not working the first of the week but thankfully, they repaired it the next day.
Have a very Happy St. Patty's Day!
xo
Pat
Congratulations! I've given you a blog award!
It's been in the 70s here for over a week now, incredible given how miserable March in Southern State usually is. I hope it holds through until summer!
Wow it must be the weather that urged you into action, lovely vignettes.
The summer like weather has reached us too. We've been sitting on the deck all weekend. Maybe I should follow your example and do some spring cleaning but it's too nice to go inside.
I love your vignette, Sue. It's looking very springy...Christine
