It is that time again. Marty @ A Stroll Thru Life
is hosting one of her famous cloche parties!
I love a good party and certainly didn't want to miss this one!
My summer cloche collection is pretty simple right now. A tiny bird rests on some green glass "stones" in a vintage porridge bowl which I covered with a small glass dome.
Bird under glass.
A vintage paperweight to add a "pop" of color.
I gathered them as a trio on my favorite sterling tray.
Of course my jar of shells shows up often at the cloche parties.
It seems to move from room to room around my home.
Hi Sue! What pretty cloche displays you've put together! The paper weight looks beautiful under the dome!
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia :)
Sue, cute cloches. I love the idea of the paper weight inside.
ReplyDeleteHi Sue!
ReplyDeleteYour cloches look great!
I have to say... my favorite things under a cloche are still birds and nests.
They just seem to fit perfectly.
Oh, and vintage Santas in December too!
xx
A
very classic and simple, beautiful!

Morning Sue,
ReplyDeleteSo good to hear from you, and glad to see you back posting. Taking care of all that comes along with a person's passing can be quite overwhelming, and especially in the time of grieving as well. It takes time to get back to normal that is for sure.
Thanks for all your sweet comments about our bathroom redo, the wedding situation and my
Mr. Sweepy. I still just love him to pieces.
Hubby laughs at me, cause Mr. Sweepy stays plugged in between uses in our bedroom, so I
say good night Mr. Sweepy, and my hubby dies
laughing.........he really is like a pet and a helper all roled into one.
When my daughter was here last week she got a kick out of him too!! He makes cleaning fun,
and sometimes I lose him and he has gone under
the couch or chair, so funny, cause he really gets around.
Yes, we are so glad our daughter had the courage to do what she did cause in the long run it is gonna make for a much better marriage if they get some of these issues taken care of now, course, we all know there will be issues all thru life, but the thing we are so impressed with is how they are attacking the problems in such a solution oriented way, and are willing to do whatever it takes...........great attitudes for going into a marriage. Most everything has been prompted by them, so we are very pleased, and
feel they still have a future together!
Thanks too, for saying my blog inspires you, that was so encouraging to me, cause I always want my blog to be an encouragement to others,
cause our world is a mess and we hear so much bad news all the time...........we definitely need to hear some good news!! So that is my goal.........
Liked all your cloches, they were all so pretty, loved that pic of the paperweight in the cloche taken from overhead, really looked neat! and both your lil birdies were so cute, looked great all clustered together on that pretty silver tray.
You have a great day hon,
So good to hear from you, and hope you are
feeling more like your old self, just takes time!!
Love and Blessings,
Nellie
Beautiful cloche vignettes Sue! I love the paperweight especially.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I love your cloches.
ReplyDeleteDee
Darling little cloches. I love the little one with the white bird and I like how you grouped them all on the tray. Very pretty,
ReplyDeleteBabs
Sue, I think that grouping the trio of cloches together on the tray was genius! I love the colorful paperweight under the dome and of course, the birds, since they are always a classic. I'm hoping to have a bit more visiting time next week- I've been a bit scarce and lax in returning comments. :-( Big project for our home in the works, so August will be busy, busy! Glad you came by, my friend! ♥ Sue
