I've Got A Pocket Full of Sunshine...Giveaway

UPDATE: GIVEAWAY HAS ENDED

Because I know that you won't pay attention to the rest of my post until you see what the giveaway is, let's talk about that before I show you my tablescape this week. I think most of you know all about CSN Stores by now. They are famous in the land of Blog! You may not be aware of everything they carry, I know that I wasn't. They are well known for their beautiful Pendant Lighting and various other household items, but did you know they have beautiful pillows and even some gorgeous white ironstone pitchers? I'm doing a little shopping there myself tonight. They have graciously asked me to work with them again and I will have a $50 gift code for one of you very soon.

Here are the rules:
1) Leave a comment for one entry
2) Let me know in a separate comment that you are a follower for a second entry

Open to U.S. and Canada only
Ends Saturday, March 19th at Midnight ET

That's it!

I realize that I did a blue and yellow tablescape just 2 weeks ago, but as I always tell you, tablescapes should be inspired by what you have in your home. Well, I had the most wonderful gift arrive at my house last Saturday. It was a cold, rainy day and when I got home from running errands...not only did I have a pocket full of sunshine, I had an entire box of sunshine waiting on my front porch.

Are these the most gorgeous grapefruits and lemons you have ever seen? Can I just tell you that what we buy in the store here in Illinois doesn't even smell and I didn't realize it. I opened this box of fabulous fruit and the smell of citrus was like potpourri in my house, only better. Would you believe that my sweet blog friend Jenny @ Jenny Matlock had these growing in her yard and sent them my way. Honestly, there is no way to tell her what it does for your spirit when the sun isn't shining for days on end and you open a box full of sunshine. Jenny is a very special person and I would guess many of you already know that. She is funny, loyal and very kind. She even sent my mom cards when she was sick...how sweet is that?

A pale blue tablecloth begins the tablescape. The dinner plates are Crate and Barrel, I've had them for years. The salad plates I bought at a garage sale last summer. They are Studio Nova Garden Sachet. The silverplate flatware you have seen before, also a garage sale find.

Last week's flowers were still alive,
so I recycled them into a simple vase.

Double layered napkins in soft green and cream, with Crate and Barrel napkin rings.

The table is set for breakfast with soft blue juice glasses and blue stemmed water goblets. Lenox candlesticks with white candles are really just for the blog...I wouldn't use candles at breakfast unless the power was off! An antique cake plate with lemon bread will be served and fresh fruit will go on the yellow (Walmart) plates.

Yes, they are plastic. It is fine to mix plastic
and china unless you are setting a very formal table.

Here is a little secret about my lemon bread...

It was very good and very simple to make.

Now, let's pretend it isn't breakfast and light those candles.

I am joining Susan @ Between Naps on the Porch for
Tablescape Thursday and
Michael @ Designs by Gollum for Foodie Friday

Please stop in to visit our gracious hostesses!

Your table setting is gorgeous! I like how you showed it at night in a romantic setting. I had not seen that done before. My favorite was how the bright yellow lemons set off your blues. I am glad I stopped by today.

Sue! Yours is the very first blog I visited today and I LOVE it! Yes, I love the blue and yellow tablescape, but what made it so perfect are the photos of the lemons. WOW, when I saw the third pic, the closeup of the lemons, I swear the scent memory was overwhelming!

That fresh, crisp, zesty scent of lemons was instantly recalled by my brain and on this very rainy morning here, it was a gift of sunshine you sent my way for a change. Now, I'm craving some lemon bread with fresh blueberries on the side.

What a wonderful way to start the day, thanks!

Sue, Your table looks delightful, with its blue and yellow spring-like colors! How wonderful to have fresh lemons to scent your home. We would see them everywhere in California and wish they could grow right our door, too- but alas, the midwest just doesn't quite make for condusive growing conditions! LOL The lemon cake mix sounds ultra easy- and who can resist a yummy glaze.... Thanks for hosting the CSN give-away.

The tablecloth is the perfect palate for your citrus flavored table. It reminds me of an orchard blooming under a perfect azure sky. Love the aqua colors...always one of my favorites...and I don't even have any azure colored goblets...they're on my someday list. Thank you for sharing your wonderful design. Cherry Kay
