My coffee table arrangement all started with this one little bird.
I found this sweet little nest in Franklin, TN. I love the champagne color that I'm seeing everywhere this year. If I could buy everything new, I would have done my entire tree in it! It fit perfectly in my mother's silver compote.
A little moss and another nest, this one is gold and
sits in a silver dish with a glass dome...a created cloche!
It makes me think of the goose that laid the golden egg.
Fresh greens, a vintage Santa ornament under glass...
My little reindeer was a Crate and Barrel
purchase after Christmas last year.
My husband bought me these children's books when we were dating.
They are from the 20's and 30's.
Of course there are the wonderful holiday
magazines that I haven't had time to read yet!
Put it all together...and the table is done!
Do you remember my little glass shelf where my shells and driftwood live?
I don't put the shells away. They make me feel good.
I just add a few hints of the holiday.
The picture of my mom is one my son had
copied and framed for my birthday.
My Christmas clock plays a different carol on the hour.
Please don't forget to enter my Tate's Bakeshop

I am joining Marty @ A Stroll Thru Life for Table Top Tuesday.
Please take a moment to stop for a visit!
I love the nests and they look great displayed with such beautiful silver pieces. I love bird nests and decorate with them as well.
ReplyDeleteGood job and thanks for sharing this with us!
Debbie
Love what you did with the bird's nest and the cloche. It all looks very pretty Sue. I think the magazines are a great idea because the are a part of what you do have on the table. I love to look at a stack of magazines for inspiration.

Just beautiful!! The clock is so cool! I like your cloche!
ReplyDeleteYour cloches look great, I'm lovin' the fun clock that plays Christmas Carols-enjoy:@)
ReplyDeleteAll your decor is so lovely, I love all the "woodsy" accents with the branches and carvings. The moose your hubby had to have in a previous post is great! But, my favorite are the vintage books. I wonder if they were a Christmas gift to some lucky child back when they were new? You never know, they are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI have enjoyed seeing your Christmas decorations. I really like the bird and nest in the compote.
ReplyDeleteWhat a marvelous to share your great ideas, Lady! They are so pretty. Smart hints and precious things around you.
ReplyDeleteI love all your cloché.
Happy TTT...

Hi Sue,
ReplyDeleteI love the pretty bird's nest under the cloche. I like the champagne colours too. Thank you for stopping by for a visit.
Christmas blessings,
Sandi
Sue,
ReplyDeleteThose tiny nests are so beautiful! I love the way they add the perfect amount of sparkle and shine to your table. The addition on your old books just simply makes me smile! Speaking of smiles, the photo of your Mom both made me smile and remember to lift up a special prayer for you and your family this season. I see alot of her beautiful smile... in you.
Dee Dee
I love everything! I really wish I had your talent for decorating...
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays Sue!
I love those old books, what a treasure! That nest is just perfect under your cloche, too! I need some ideas for mine!
ReplyDeleteOh Sue Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteI can see where you get your beautiful good looks, you are definitely a combination of your Momma and your Daddy. I so enjoyed seeing her precious face on your stand of treasures. I love this photo, and what a treasure that your son gave you. How precious of him.
Your coffee table vignette looks so inviting. It started with that one precious bird. I love that bird, and wouldn't your sweet Momma be so happy to see it nestled in her sterling compote of love. The golden eggs are gorgeous. I just love it Sue.
I love that reindeer you found at Crate and Barrel. It is so precious and festive for the holiday.
What treasures are the books from your dear husband. I love each of them. Isn't it wonderful to go back in time and look at the memories they gave us when we were dating? Such treasures.
Sue, such a wonderful share this evening. Please stop by and read my post this evening. It is about you beautiful lady, and the wonderful gift of love.
Many hugs and SO much love, Sherry
Very pretty Sue! You sure have created a lovely vignette!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Cindy
I love the coffee table - it is homey and elegant all at once. Well done!
ReplyDeleteSue, Your table vignette is so pretty. I love the color of that nest and its gilded bird on your mother's compote. And the little nest under glass is precious, too. Sometimes the simplest of things makes the prettiest statement, don't you think?

Morning Sue,
ReplyDeleteLove what you did with your coffee table.
Love the glittery nests, so pretty and they looks so great under glass.
Thanks for coming by Thankful Thursday and Tabletop Thursday as well. Thanks for your well wishes for my son and his bride to be! The date is finally set and it is May 13th.
Hope things have warmed up where you live,
the 20's is pretty severe. We are at freezing right now and that's bad enough. I seem to funtion better in colder weather, not quite this cold tho, love the 50' and 60's, those temps are perfect!!
So you have been baking too!! Since my husband has had heart disease I don't do too much baking cause most of it has the wrong ingredients for us. I do have this awesome peanut butter cookie recipe that is gluten free and only has peanut butter, eggs and sugar, I use natural peanut butter and eggbeater and less sugar than the recipe calls for, so it is very heart healthy. We had forgotten just how good they were cause it has been quite awhile since I've made them. lol
But we are sure enjoying them!!
Well dear........hope you have a Christmas Season full of the love, joy and peace of the
savior.
Blessings, Nellie
Sue, such pretty things on your table. Love those vintage books. Take some time to look at those magazines. I hope you will join my party. It is open to Christmas decor this month.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty and what lovely vignettes. Love the cloche of course. Thanks for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty
