The Epcot International Food and Wine Festival is a food lovers dream. If you love food and/or wine, you really should try to take in this event sometime. There is more food than you can eat at very affordable prices, concerts, parties and culinary events with famous chefs. Some events are free with the cost of your ticket to Epcot, others range from reasonable to very pricey.
Epcot has booths set up all through the World Showcase Promenade where you can try small plates of food from many countries along with wines, beers and an occasional girly drink. Each year new countries are represented, this year Belgium and South Korea will be joining the party. Food plates are generally priced around $3 or $4, with a few higher. There are cookbook signings, educational events and free concerts by famous musical guests. Last year we did a cooking class where we learned how to make a flourless, chocolate and salted caramel cake...then we got to eat it!
The food available this year can be seen by clicking here. I have to admit to thinking about the Creme Brulee au Chocolate au Lait from France all year long. It is the best!
The concert lineup this year includes: Taylor Dayne, Kool & The Gang, Sugar Ray, Taylor Hicks, Air Supply, Sister Hazel, Howard Jones, Expose, 38 Special, Night Ranger, Billy Ocean, Starship starring Mickey Thomas, Boyz II Men, Roger Hodgson formerly of Supertramp, Jon Secada, Hanson, Rick Springfield and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy.
I thought I'd share a few pictures from previous Food and Wine Festivals. The pictures speak for themselves.
I'm linking today with Susan @ A Southern Daydreamer
for Outdoor Wednesday. Please stop in and say hello to her!

That's my kind of event! Too far for me to travel, so I'll enjoy your visit.

I haven't had dinner yet, so now I need to rush downstairs and EAT.

You are making me miss Disney World, Sue. When the kids were small, we had an annual pass good for WDW, MGM and Epcot so we were there a lot. Ahhhh, those were the days!...Christine
Yum - I wish I could taste all of that right now! If you go this year, please eat some for me :) Your fall decorations are lovely, too, such an inspiration.
xoxo, Andrea
Looks like there'd be plenty to keep a no beef, no fowl, no pork girl like me occupied. I notice your mon's Apple Cinnamon Cake... my sweet mama makes a mean Apple Cake & I just realized I don't have her recipe!
Hi Sue,
thank is some good looking food, I have to say.
Loved your pretty Fall decorations as well.
I just love pumpkins!!
Thanks for your well wishes on my neck, actually, I do feel better, I knocked something out of place and it is back where it is suppose to be now, Just a lil sore from the adjustments but that is normal, and no problem!!
Thanks for sharing your Epcot trip. I have always wanted to go to the Flower show, but
have never done it yet. Thanks for coming by hon.
Blessings, Nellie
Oooh! You have got me so excited! I am going to be in Florida later this year and just added this fab event to my list of things I want to do! Have a sweet day!
Man, I wish I could go to Disney. You make it sound like so much fun!
Yummo!! Sure wish I'd known about Delicious Discoveries when we lived in FL. We were only a 2.5 hr drive away as we lived in Venice. This looks like a Foodie's Fantasy world...how fun!
Love your fall decorations, too. Mine are 1/2 up. :/
Do you get to visit Disney often? I took my kids to LA 15 years ago. We were living in Singapore then.
I tell you a secret," Everyone needs thier mum, including a 55 year old me."
How fun...I wish I could just pack my bags and head that way! Nothing is better then that special Disney world!!!!!
Hugs for a great day. xoxoxoxox
