I Killed the Modem...

     I had a slight accident while cleaning today and my modem got wet...and quit working. I called and the way it is handled now is they mail you a new one...in 7 to 10 business days! They wouldn't let me pay to have it shipped overnight. So, at the moment I am "borrowing" an internet connection from someone in the neighborhood. I hope to continue to do this for a few days...but, I may not be around as much as I want to be. I didn't want anyone to think I was ignoring them!

  2. Sorry! It can get frustrating when we have computer problems. If mine goes out, I can go to a local comcast location and replace it in person.

  6. Oh dear, that's awful! When they hooked up my phones last week (digital), the guy hooked up the wrong modem for my Extreme Speed internet and I had to wait four days for them to come out and replace it. The guy left the old one and since I was on deadline, I drove to our local office and picked up a splitter and ran it off the cable in my bedroom. Of course, they had to put that modem back on my bill…you get the drift, a nightmare these companies are!

    I'm off to Tampa on Thursday, so I'll see you when I get back. Beachiness! I'm also meeting another blogger buddy for lunch, stay tuned for details.
