My dad and I are now having Daddy-Daughter time together in Florida. It is hard for me to be away from my husband for a few weeks, but dad and I have a lot to do and truthfully, my husband will have a better time at work! I thought I would join Marty @
A Stroll Thru Life for Table Top Tuesday and give you a little peek at some of the pretties in my parent's home. My mother's decor is very different than my dark taupe walls and espresso leather furniture. She did her home in lots of white. The carpeting is white, the tile is white and the sofas are white. She used pops of coral and seafoam to create an elegant, beachy look.
This marble based table is just inside the front door.
This is a sitting area in the dining room.
We bought them this vase for their 50th
wedding anniversary and I still love it.

Such a wonderful collection. The vase is lovely.
How pretty -- I know that the going through and sorting your mother's things is a tough job -- so nice that you are able to spend this time with your dad. Thank you for your very sweet visit to my pansey table.
Hi, Sue!
I adore that vase. I think it is so pretty, and it's special that you gave it to them for their anniversary. How neat! And that piece over the console is neat, too. Looks like your mom and dad liked contemporary pieces. Love the colors in that, too.
I know how hard this must be to go through her things, and I wish you well. Have a nice time with your father. From everything you've told us about him, he sounds like a great dad.
XO,
Sheila :-)
What a gorgeous home...very beachy and elegant. That vase is BEAUTIFUL!!
Blessings,
Gail
What a beautiful home, Sue. I love all of the pastel colors~that is SO me!
Hope you are having as best a time you can have and up here in the Midwest, we are saying many prayers for all of you along the gulf coast.

Your parents live on an island? That's pretty neat.
The home, from what I can see of it, looks quite nice.
And I do envy you the heat; it's in the 70s here today, chilly and cloudy.
Hello!
I love getting to see your parents home <3 That vase is absolutely gorgeous! I hope you enjoy your daddy/daughter time in Florida... I miss our morning chats!
Love ya,
Someone's Bff
I am glad the oil is not there ye, Sue. I hope it never gets there. All our children live in FL. and my son has a business of selling fishing rods and that would die for sure if the oil gets there. Your mom's home decor is very contemporary, very pretty. I love the vase that you gave them...Christine
The vase is so pretty! I am sure it is difficult having to go thru your Mother's things. (((hugs)))
Hi Sue!
The vase is EXTRAORDINARY!
I can imagine big glorious Florida blooms in it!
The color is exquisite too... so lovely against the white and bright of the house!
Although the process you are going through has its moments, I'm sure... I hope you find some lovely memories packed within her things ♥

Love the marble table in the entry, so pretty and the vase is absolutely stunning. I LOVE it. I will keep you in prayer, I know this is a hard time for you. God Bless. Thanks so much for joining the party. Hugs, Marty
Dear Sue, I hope you and your father are having a good visit with each other, giving each other comfort. Your mom's decor is quite indicative of the area- light, airy, and contemporary. What a lovely vase you gave them as a present. Take care. My thoughts are with you.
Sue
What beautiful pieces. Each one is special and unique. Enjoy your time with your dad.
That is quite a lovely vase! Good luck surviving the Florida heat.
Between the adirondack chairs in your last post and the flowers/vase/pillows in this post- I'm loving the turquoise and orange.
Dear Sue
that vase is so lovely!!! such a wonderful shade of blue.. I suspect fits in lovely with your mum's lovely soft palette and beachy feel..
Hope you and your dad are getting through all your tasks and taking each day as it comes.... thanks for your lovely comment.... keeping my fingers crossed.. xxx Julie
Hi again, Sue... the next time you want to explore St. Augustine, please contact me, and I will open my house up for you. That way, you'll have a home base where you can cool down and rest. I think the best month to come is April or late March. Of course we don't have Nights of Lights then, but the weather is postcard perfect. It was cold this winter, but we still draw huge crowds. And I've been down in Central Florida where it's hard to draw a breath at times. Talk about hot! Even the Floridians were complaining this weekend, and I was with a group of native Floridians. I guess we live close enough to the bayfront in St. Augustine that we always have a nice breeze. So come go with the natives who know the ins and outs and where to park so you won't suffocate! LOL!
XO,
Sheila :-)
Sue, if I lived in Fla. I believe I would want light and bright, too just to feel cooler in that heat. I hope you and your Dad enjoy some good memories together of your mom while going through her things.
I miss Florida...I loved the beach. I love any beach. Except one with oil. Fingers crossed it doesn't reach you at ALL!!
And good luck with your Mom's things. :)
I know this must be so difficult for you, but I am glad that you and your Dad will be able to spend this time together.
Hang in there and stay strong!!!
You are in my thoughts and prayers!!!
Oh that vase is lovely....thinking of you..and sending you blessings.xox

Thanks for sharing some of your mom with us. The decor looks very beachy and Florida like! The vase is beautiful.
Sue,
What a stunning vase. Stay cool, I guess that means in the water or inside while in Florida.
I can't wait to see this weeks tablescape! I'm hoping to play along this week too!
