Thank You-Update

I want to thank everyone who left me such warm messages and good wishes for my mom. Your prayers and kind words mean more than you will ever know. Isn't it amazing how people who haven't met, really do come to care for each other.

As I mentioned in my note, my mom is a very private person. It has been quite an adjustment for her to have a daughter who blogs! At first it scared her to death, then she couldn't figure out why I would want "my business out there" for the world to see. She has finally come to terms that this is what I do...and she knows how much I enjoy it.

My mom and dad have been together since they were 14 and 16. I won't mention their ages...but, you all have a pretty good idea how old I am...so, do the math! My mother has never been the little woman behind the executive. They are a shining example of what a true partnership is. I am thrilled to say that they are both in great mental health, and until mom's recent experience they have been in amazing physical health for their ages. Most people guess them to be 10 years younger than they are. Dad still swims 40 laps a day, they travel, the do Disney and we have a hard time keeping up with them.

I will be heading down to be with them tomorrow. They don't need help as much as I think my mom is finally ready for some company, some girl talk and to just have a bit of fun. She is on complete bed rest right now so our fun may be a bit different than usual. She is worn out from doing so little, and she is used to being on the go. We can have tea on the patio, do our nails and curl up and read romance novels. We are still waiting to see exactly what we are dealing with here, so I'm not sure how long I'm staying. I think I will have free time to write and hopefully read and stay very active in the Land of Blog. I'm just not sure what I'll write about. I wish I could set my mom's dining room table...it is stunning, and she has some of the best dishes you've ever seen. Somehow, I'm not sure that would be nearly as fun for her right now as it would be for me:)

Once again, I appreciate all the prayers, personal messages and good thoughts. We still need them. I hope to begin playing "catch up" around here by tomorrow night.

Hi Sue,
I'm glad that you're going to be able to be with your mom for awhile...of course, your dad too. My prayers continue for her and everyone involved. I feel sure she will perk up with you there, doing girly things and chatting, etc. Take good care of yourself in the midst of all this ~ you have to keep your cup filled to share with others. :-)

xoxo

Sue - You might be surprised, when she sees all of her good china and crystal and silver coming out for - NO REASON AT ALL - she might get as excited as you! Sometimes it is the - at first - unwelcome - and "unexpected" that makes us the "unexpected" happiest! Who knew!?!
I will continue to pray - you continue to keep us all posted.
Big hugs! Karen

Hi Sue,
I am so sorry to hear about your Mom. Drive safely and enjoy your time with her. Sounds like she's an interesting Woman. It's funny, my son said the same thing about blogging. He was like why would you want everyone looking at your house etc. I think it's hard to understand if you don't do it yourself.
Hugs to you,
Cindy

Hello everyone,

I am Cathy, someone's bff, I just got off the phone with Sue. She is 20 minutes from arriving to be with her mother, and received a call that they had to stop the biopsy, and this has caused internal bleeding. They don't know any more as of right now. Sue asked me if I would please pray, and I know many of you would want to know of these recent developments as you will send your sweet prayers for her mother also.

Thank you all for your support <3

Take your time, Sue. Stay with your mother as long as you can, and enjoy her presence as much as possible. A Mother has no substitute, and one has to do his utmost to keep one's mother alive and well.

This is Someone's Daughter. They went into surgery to stop the bleeding, and it looks like so far that has been successful. The bleeding appears to be have stopped. It does look like there is major cancer however. It is good news that she has made it through so far. Please keep praying!
