100 Posts! Giveaway!

     When I made my first blog post last August, I had no idea what I was doing…or what to expect. The only blogs I had been reading were political blogs. I wasn’t sure what I would write or if anyone would read it. The only thing I wanted to do was be honest, be myself and try very hard to read and comment on the posts of the people who were nice enough to visit me. I’ve been honest, I’ve been myself and I do try to keep up with all of my friends in Blogland, but I’ve learned that you could spend your entire day reading and learning from all of these smart, talented people.

     I didn’t know that a cloche was anything but a hat. I wasn’t sure what the word meme meant. Vignette was a word I knew…but I don’t think I’d ever used it. Tablescape Thursdays, Foodie Fridays, Christmas parties, headers, templates, backgrounds…talk about getting an education very quickly! What I didn’t expect at all, was to find a feeling of community. I didn’t expect to make friends. I’ve seen bloggers band together to raise money for Haiti or help a fellow blogger clear out her store after the death of her husband. I’ve seen prayers asked for and received as people from all over the world step up to offer support. I’ve met people that I know would be fun to go shopping with, or have coffee…and food, of course. Bloggers like to eat!

     I also learned about THE GIVEAWAY! Who knew that you could get cool stuff by blogging? When I saw that people were doing giveaways to celebrate their 100th post, I couldn’t imagine reaching that milestone. Well, here I am. This is my 100th post. That means, someone is going to get some goodies!

On my last visit to Crate and Barrel, I found this wire cake plate. I could just picture it as a cloche, or stacked with cupcakes.

A visit to a local gift shop added these orbs, I’ve had a hard time not keeping them!

I have a thing about paper products, so I’ve added this “Sweet Swirls Memo Pad Holder” in brown and blue and a little “sweet treat” from Harry and David to top it off.

     I am going to have this open to everyone. Some of my favorite blog friends live out of the country. If I do have an out of the country winner, you will win a prize…it will just be a different prize. I will send you something a little smaller, probably jewelry. I don’t think I can afford the shipping of a cake plate to Australia, but I don’t want to leave out any of my readers.
