By the sea, by the sea, by the beautiful sea

It seems as if it has been a long time since I've done a tablescape! I have a friend coming today for a late lunch, so we will actually be using this table. When it was done last night I realized that I had missed having dishes on my table. I don't leave tablescapes up all week, but I usually do leave them up a few days. Having the table set really does add to the decor of your home.

I decided to keep the table simple as there will just be three of us.

Blue placemats topped with my white Certified International dinner plates make a nice base for a favorite salad plate. I have had the salad plates for many years, I think my mom bought them for me. They are Oneida, Mosaic Shells and I've always loved the colors. I pulled out the fun flatware from HomeGoods and added a goblet with a sea glass look.

Matching blue napkins with a lucite
shell napkin ring finish the beachy look.

For the centerpiece, I used a round mirror, some shells and driftwood from around the house and bits of beach glass and green stone to add the feeling of water.

Small seashell votives will add a bit of sparkle to the table.

By candlelight....

I am joining Susan @ Between Naps on the Porch
 for Tablescape Thursday.
Please take time to visit her and see all the lovely tables this week.
