The Beach Theme is Taking Over the House

I've added a few more beach touches around the house this week. Most of these things you have seen before, just in different locations. I kept the long silver tray that I used for Easter decorating on the coffee table and simply changed out the items on it. The starfish I made a few years ago...Martha Stewart glitter and a little glue. The silver cloche has a favorite shell resting in sand that came to me from Rhonda @ Shellbelle's Tiki Hut. A sea urchin candle adds a little more white to the vignette.

You can see the base of my glass palm tree and another candle with shells "floating" in water.

This is a new favorite. I love dragonflies and I love the colors of the sea. When I saw this piece of pottery Saturday at a local artisan show, I knew it was coming home with me.

My little reminder to "breathe" from my daughter!

My candlestick "redo" with an orb the
color of the ocean perched on top.

This table is always so hard to photograph.
It really looks better when you
aren't looking down on it, but you get the idea!

I am joining Marty @ A Stroll Thru Life for Table Top Tuesday,
Kim @ Savvy Southern Style for Wow Us Wednesdays and
Kathleen @ Faded Charm for White Wednesday.

Please visit our wonderful hostesses this week!

  12. I'm so glad I included that Florida sand in your package! I think it is so cool that you included it in your vignette, so happy I could bring some beachiness to your home, lol.

I love dragonflies also, what is it about them that we find so enchanting? I'm always so happy when one decides to land and just have a look around at my garden. Maybe they remind me of fairies, yes, I do believe that's it!

    Hugs sweet friend!

  14. I love the *beach look* and tried a little of it a couple yrs ago. For some reason, it just didn't FIT out here in dry, windy, West Texas, where there's no water to speak of for hundreds of miles.
I probably just ought to go gather up some tumbleweeds and dirt and spread it all over the house. Oh WAIT...there IS dirt all over the house.
We had a h** of a sandstorm yesterday and the day before and today and tomorrow.....and I am ready to MOVE.

  21. Wish I were at the beach right now! Everything looks lovely ~ as usual. I like your front porch decor too and yes, geraniums are a favorite of mine. I normally have them in red, however, I haven't see any really healthy plants this year. I know it's been fun for you to have your daughter home...and to have the grands visit too. They are adorable!

Hope you enjoy the weekend and just take time to relish in the moment with your daughter.
