There were a few surprises waiting for me in my yard this morning. As sunlight glittered on the layer of frost, I found my first "crop" of pussy willows will soon be ready to come inside. Buds are beginning to appear on the tree branches and the first signs of tulips are peeking through the ground. It won't be long before the dull and brown landscape bursts into brilliant color. I can't wait!

O, Suz...has SPRING SPRUNG there? Yes, I think it has. Just look at all those delightful signs.
ReplyDeleteI need to take the time to "smell the roses" and see if I have any of these SPRING SIGNS.

Oh, wow, that is encouraging! We are in another cold spell this week and there is at least 2 feet of snow covering my flower beds, so I will have to enjoy seeing yours :)
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to plant Tulips for awhile. Maybe this will be the year! All my day lillies & irises are starting to pop out of the ground too. I can't wait for everything to start blooming.
ReplyDeleteA sure sign of Spring. I was out and about yesterday and was surprised at so many trees in bloom already.
ReplyDeleteIt does look like spring!...the daffodils are blooming here.

ReplyDeleteAfter reading you blog I actually put on my coat and walked around the house - still snow knee deep. Soon, very soon, I'll be able to enjoy those wonderful teasers of the spring to come. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeletePussy willows have always been a sure sign spring is about to make an appearance!

How lucky that you have pussy willows! I would love to have them growing here. Spring certainly is in the air.
ReplyDeleteBecky
mine popped this week too. I love to see the new shoots pop out. What perseverance they have. We could certainly learn from them. Thanks for sharing.

It looks like spring in springing in your neck of the woods!!!! wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI am always amazed by what a difference a hundred miles can make. Nothing spring up here. Everything is still dead, still brown and still ugly :(
ReplyDeleteI await those signs every year, about a month from now we should see something, I hope!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are coming to the party! Wouldn't be the same without you!
Happy Seasonal Sunday!
