It was a gray and rainy day in Illinois...so I had to turn the lights on!
I'm afraid all of my Christmas posts are going to have poor picture quality if the sun doesn't come back to my part of the country! Today's table was set around the centerpiece that I am leaving out to go with my Winter Wonderland look this year.
A few branches from my yard with a light coating of white spray paint create the perfect icicle "tree" when placed in a vase with opalescent stones and a few glittered pine cones. The reindeer was purchased after Christmas last year at Crate and Barrel. The mercury glass balls are also a Crate and Barrel purchase. You've seen me use them at various times of the year.
The table runner is a recent HomeGoods purchase.
It is embroidered with silver snowflakes.
I found the black and silver placemats at Ross for $1.99 for all four of them! The white dinner plates, salt and pepper shakers, bowls and goblets are Pfaltzgraff Winter Frost. The black salad plates are from WalMart. The silverplate flatware is W.M.Rogers-Enchanted Rose. I used black napkins with a simple piece of wired silver ribbon around them instead of napkin rings.
A closer view of the table runner.
The votive holders are also snowflakes (Crate and Barrel).
I'm joining our hostess Susan @ Between Naps on the Porch
for Tablescape Thursday. I hope you will drop by and
thank her for hosting every week.
Hi Sue

I've admired that reindeer from afar. Just never had the money for it while I was in C&B. Love his clean lines.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful table runner. Certainly works perfectly with your theme. Using the wire ribbon for napkin rings worked well too. The color is really set off against the black napkins.
Oh, and I like the hanging icicles as well.
Sue, it looks pretty even in the cloudy weather. We had that rain for days and now it is cold!
ReplyDeleteStunning table. I love the chocolate brown. It is really hip and modern. I looked back at your last three posts - you have been one busy lady. I am just finishing up decorating, not to mention photographing and blogging about it and you even have wrapped presents under the tree!! Fabulous and I love your colors this year.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous table! It really does look like a winter wonderland! Amazing how you can transfer a look to a feeling. It looks chilly to me which is just what it should be for winter! Awesome job!
ReplyDeletePretty and festive!
ReplyDeleteOh Sue, it all looks so wonderful! Have a sweet day!
ReplyDeleteI'm amazed at how you turn the everyday into the absolutely artistic. What a lovely, lovely gift you have!
ReplyDeleteOh Sue, this is stunning! I love it ALL!
ReplyDeleteThe natural dark wood really looks great as the stage to all this winter wonderland you've created...right down to the ice cycles!
The glow from the candles really makes the silhouettes stand out and cast their magic glow on everything!
I hope you have a fabulous weekend!
Bless you and your family*
~Maria
