For Table Top Tuesday with Marty @ A Stroll Thru Life, I'm going to share a few random photos from our recent trip. You know how it is, when you blog you carry a camera everywhere. Sometimes I see something and snap a shot with certain blog friends in mind. That is why I took these photos. The above shot was taken in Franklin, TN on our way home. Franklin has a historic downtown business district with wonderful little shops.
A shop window in Franklin just screamed
"your blog friends will love this"!
I love this shop in Franklin.
A few things from here found their way home with me.
A chandelier made with old spoons...isn't it wonderful?
These photos are obviously from a different location. On my way to Sarasota I read about a dish warehouse that I didn't know about. I had to find time to stick my head in and see what it was all about. The dishes were impressive, I loved these photos of colorful Fiesta. The prices were not discounted, the people working were not friendly and the place smelled strongly of smoke. Needless to say, I was really disappointed. I was told they prefer to sell from their online site. I not only left empty handed, I would never order from them. Our blog favorite CSN is a much better place to shop!
One last shot from Franklin. I love this look!
Please stop to say hello to Marty!
Beautiful photos and shops. What a inspiration the Franklin shop is. Love to see that. Thanks for showing.

ReplyDeleteOh, I do adore mercury glass!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your Franklin shopping trip - The Iron Gate ? :D
ReplyDeleteSorry the dish place was a disappointment. You would think in todays' economy, they would welcome the business.
Have a great day.
Sue, you shopped my favorite place to visit when we go to our son's in Nashville. I adore the shops in Franklin. Oh, how I would love to go now for those wonderful looking Christmas things and the stuff in that window. I am sure I have frequented those places.
ReplyDeletelovely photos...too bad about the dish shop, I hate overpriced places and how terrible it wasn't shopper friendly.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great shop. I immediately fell in love with the chandelier!! Sounds like it was a fun trip!
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a great week, Sue!
XO,
Jane

ReplyDeleteSo many pretty things - I'm not sure where to look first. La
ReplyDeleteLove the Franklin shop, Sue. I almost asked you about the Sarasota store until I read what you wrote. The spoon chandy is awesome!...Christine
ReplyDeleteGreat pics Sue! Lovin' that spoon chandy, it's a work of art!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shops you shared today my friend!!! Lucky I don't live close by...I would have no money left for Christmas. xoxoxo Hugs
ReplyDeleteDon'tyou hate when you're excited about a place and you get there and are so disappointed with the service that you leave empty handed? That happened to me in San Francisco. People were raving about an olive oil shop so I walked in enthustiastically and wanted to sample. I told them I was referred by friends, blah, blah, blah. They said they were done sampling and that was that. i walked out :-(
ReplyDeleteNice pics though, it's fun carrying your camera everywhere.
I love your new chandelier, how unique and beautiful it will be once you hang it up. The dish warehouse sounds horrid and I am in total agreement over CSN Store, love 'em!
ReplyDeleteIf you like baskets you should check out Basketville in Venice, FL the next time your in town. Great prices and a wonderful staff! Here's the address:
Basketville 4411 Tamiami Trail South Venice, FL 34293. Phone: (941) 493-0007.
I love those shops! I would love to go to the one with all the white things on the table and the white tree. So pretty.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Carey
