Maybe I'll just skip a week.
I don't want to do that.
I've been doing this for a year and I haven't missed many weeks.
A year? I've done 12 months of tablescapes?
I could do a calendar!
What would I put on it for each month?
Bingo! Blog post!
October
November (My mom's 81st birthday party)
December
January
February
March
April
May (the flowers were from my mother's funeral)
June
July (my parent's dining table)
August
September
This is the first time I've gone back through my tablescapes. I didn't realize how much they reflect what is going on in my life at the time. I also didn't realize how bad my first tablescape was, I was pretty proud of it at the time! It didn't make the cut for today's post.
I'm joining Susan @ Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday.
Please stop by to see her and all the wonderful table settings that are posted today.
G'morn, Sue ~ They are all so lovely ... reflecting you at the moment or celebration.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day ~

Sue, every table is so pretty. You are very good at putting these together. Hope your head is better. My daughter gets those.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed that review, as I'm new to your blog and haven't read all your back posts. Beautiful tables, all.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great post. I havn't been back through mine, and I am sure my first ones and a few inbetween would not be very good. All of yours are so pretty. Seems our tables do reflect our lives at the time. I loved seeing these again. Hugs, Marty

ReplyDeleteOK Sue,
ReplyDeleteyou are just so darn cute... what a TOTALLY F*U*N idea!

Every table is lovely!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea; you could host a one-time blog party -- "Show Off a Year Of Tablescapes!"
After my own Mom passed away in January '10, I also used some of her funeral flowers in a tablescape. As you said, it's what's going on in our lives at the moment.
Today -- I ran out of time and re-cycled old pictures with new words!
Love the idea of a calendar, though.
Cass
They're all beautiful and I'm glad you shared! I felt horrible yesterday too...such allergy stuff + full moon. Hope you're better today and that you have a fabulous weekend!

ReplyDeleteahh, gosh, this was a great idea. Can I do it sometime?? :)
ReplyDeleteYour comment on Words on Wheels made me sad for you, darlin' girl.
I'm sorry you don't have family close for dinners and etc...just have a once a month dinner for some really good friends. They would love it and you would feel a LOT better..:)

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea and if I had to vote, I would vote for the Halloween table, but is that just because it is approaching? Joni
ReplyDeleteO, gosh, Sue...{{{CRAIGS LIST}}}...great idea..don't know why I didn't think of it. I always forget that. I'll look tomorrow....thanks, sister friend.

Great idea! Loved seeing them all again!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better!
What a beautiful post. I loved going through the year with you. Congratulations, that is quite an accomplishment. I am only 1/3 of the way there!!! I loved the Sept. table. What a fun calendar that would make. We do one each year for each of our kids and now their kids because they would complain when they didn't see their picture on a page. Do one for yourself. What a treasure as the years go by.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful table settings. I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. It looks like you had a wonderful get together at their house a couple months before. I liked all of them!
ReplyDeleteHi Sue
ReplyDeleteYou've been quite the industrious table setter!! .. My vote goes to Miss September!!!... Have a lovely weekend !!! xxx Julie
What a great idea, Sue! Each table is beautiful...my favorite is December, love those cardinal plates and that quilt.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Sometimes its good to reminisce and reflect. Your family members may like a copy of your calendar if you decide to create one with your tablescapes since they are reminiscent of what was going on in your life.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your past tablescapes, I had not seen them all, and I enjoyed them.
All the Best,
Requi
What a great post, thanks for sharing your last year with us.
ReplyDeleteYour comment about your first tablescape made me think of some advice that I received when I learned to needlepoint. "Always keep your first completed needlepoint project. It will give you a good map of how much you've improved over the years." Thank you for sharing your calendar of tablescapes. Cherry Kay
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing the beautiful tables you have put together. Stunning.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful and I thank you for sharing them all at once. November is my favorite I think, but mostly because there's food ont he table. ha ha!
ReplyDeleteI say make a calendar, even if it's for your own keeping.
You are my inspiration. They've all been beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteCongrats, Sue, on your 12 months of tablescapes :)
